What Size Bike Do I Need?

Cruiser bikes are measured in 2 different ways.

  1. Outside diameter of the tire. Most adult bikes have a 26" diameter
  2. The second type of measurement refers to the frame size from the crank to the house of the seat clamp (in other words along the seat post tube top to the bottom) this measurement is generally 19" for men's cruisers and 17" for ladies bikes. This is a less universal measurement and varies depending on the manufacture.

The below sizes give you an approximate height range for each size of cruiser:

Wheelsize(1) Frame Size Range(2) Height Range(ft) Age
16" 8" - 10" 2'10" - 3'8" 1-5
20" 12" 3'2" - 4'4" 4-10
24" 15" 4'-5'4" 8 - Adult
26" 15" - 21" 5' - 6'4" 11 - Adult
26" Extended Frame 6' and over* Adult
*We recommend a long frame design. (ie: Huntington)
